The freedom project

                   http://thecnnfreedomproject.blogs.cnn.com/  This is a project that is helping to end modern day slavery all over the world. It is also helping to raise awareness for the children. It is trying to help motivate people to do something. They are also trying to raise money to help them because they can not do it themselves.

                                                                                  The issue

                     There are tens of thousands of slaves in Nepal. They are being torn from their home land and being sold abroad. There is also sex trafficking in many children. Many of them are workers who are tricked into fake contracts. They then get their passports taken and then they are trapped. They are often trafficked to India and sent to brothels. There have been more than 11,000 girls rescued from the Kamlari. Some families are so poor they sell their 6 and 7 year old daughters. This is the prime age for sex trafficking.

                   

            Hello general public, our website is to raise awareness of the slavery in Nepal. It is a true and rising problem for their citizens. Something needs to be done about it. But all we can do is try to show the people who can something. 

           The majority of slaves in Nepal are female children. The second is females. They are easily taken advantage of because of their size and gender. There are still male slaves, while they're not as prominent.
